How booking works, step by step<\/h2>\n

  1. Choose your tour, date and departure time<\/strong> on the tour page. You can book up to a year ahead.<\/li>\n
  2. Pick group or private<\/strong> (see below), the number of adults and children, and any extras \u2013 for example a female guide in an ao dai on our Hanoi jeep tours<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. Add your pickup details<\/strong>: your hotel name and address, or that you will meet the guide at the starting point.<\/li>\n
  4. Add dietary needs and allergies<\/strong> in the booking notes, plus anything else we should know (mobility, children’s ages, preferred vehicle on an Instagram tour).<\/li>\n
  5. Send the booking request.<\/strong> This is free and you receive a booking reference.<\/li>\n
  6. Pay the deposit<\/strong> to secure your place, including your booking reference in the transfer note.<\/li>\n
  7. Pay the rest in cash on the tour day.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The deposit<\/h3>\n

    A small deposit secures your spot: 15% of the total for bookings under US$100<\/strong> and 10% for bookings of US$100 or more<\/strong>. The exact amount for your booking is shown when you book. You pay the deposit online to secure your booking; the exact amount and the payment method are shown when you book. Please add your booking reference to the payment note so we can match it.<\/p>\n

    Local tip:<\/strong> take a screenshot of your booking reference and your deposit confirmation. On the tour day, it is the quickest way to sort out any question about what you have paid.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    The balance on the tour day<\/h3>\n

    The rest of the price is paid on the tour day<\/strong>. You can pay in cash – Vietnamese dong or US dollars – or by bank transfer. Bring the amount shown in your booking. ATMs are easy to find in central Hanoi; see our money and tipping guide<\/a> for practical tips on cash.<\/p>\n

    Also bring a little extra cash for things that are not included \u2013 extra drinks, personal expenses, tickets listed as “paid on site” and, if you wish, a tip.<\/p>\n

    Most tours let you choose the option that suits you on every booking. Some tours have a minimum: the 2-hour jeep tour needs at least 2 guests per booking, and in Sapa each jeep carries 2\u20136 guests from the same booking. Each jeep seats up to 6 guests; in Sapa, larger groups travel in several jeeps together.<\/p>\n

    Changing your date<\/h2>\n

    Plans change. Deposits are non-refundable, but you can move your tour to another date, subject to availability.<\/strong> Just message us on WhatsApp with your booking reference and the new date you would like. The earlier you tell us, the more choice of dates you will have. Read the full cancellation policy<\/a> before you book.<\/p>\n
