Opened in 2019, it sits at around 2,000 metres above sea level, and on the right day you look straight down through the floor to a valley hundreds of metres below — or out across a sea of clouds.

Getting there is half the experience. From the entrance a tunnel leads into the mountain, and a glass lift then carries you up the face of the cliff, with the view opening up as you rise. At the top, glass walkways branch out over the drop; the furthest point extends about 60 metres beyond the cliff edge. The floor is made of several bonded layers of thick tempered glass, and the number of people on the bridge at one time is limited.

Rong May Glass Bridge tickets and opening hours

The standard ticket includes the lift up and down and access to the skywalk: recently about 500,000 VND for adults, 300,000 VND for children between 1 and 1.4 metres tall, and free for small children under 1 metre. Extra adventure games such as a zipline, a cliff swing, a sky bike and a rope bridge cost about 150,000 VND each. The site is usually open from about 7:00 to 17:30, but the last lift goes earlier and it can close in storms or very strong wind.

Visibility and fear of heights

The weather decides everything here. In thick fog you may see only white; in clear weather the view over the Lai Chau mountains is spectacular. Mornings are often clearest. If you are nervous of heights you do not have to walk on the glass — the pass and viewpoints are beautiful from solid ground.

Our O Quy Ho Pass Jeep tour, the Sapa motorbike tour with female riders and both full-day Sapa tours finish here. The bridge ticket is bought on site, and your guide will help.

Is Rong May Glass Bridge worth it?

It is worth it if you enjoy heights and big views. A tunnel and a glass lift carry you up the cliff face of O Quy Ho Pass to a skywalk at around 2,000 m that extends about 60 m beyond the edge, looking down hundreds of metres or out over a sea of clouds. The weather decides the view, so go on a clear morning. The ticket (recently about 500,000 VND for adults) is not included in our tours, and there are extra adventure games such as a zipline and a cliff swing.

Un ascenseur panoramique transparent et une passerelle suspendue à flanc de falaise au col d’O Quy Ho, culminant à plus de 2 000 mètres d’altitude et souvent au-dessus des nuages.

[10
post-162","eta_place","type-eta_place","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
