It is best known for its birds: in the late afternoon thousands of storks, herons and egrets fly back to roost in the trees around a lake, and visitors watch from the water or from a viewpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the park there are boat trips through a cave and along a stream, a few short caves on foot, gardens and places to eat.<\/p>\n<h2>Visiting Thung Nham<\/h2>\n<p>Plan to be on the water or at the bird viewpoint from around 16:30. Earlier in the day the park is pleasant but the birds are out feeding.
