Quiénes somos

This policy explains how Eco Trip Asia collects and uses personal information when you visit ecotripasia.com, send a booking request or contact us. We are responsible for that information.

Information we collect

• Booking details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, an alternative contact, hotel or pickup address, tour date, number of adults and children, and any notes you add (for example dietary needs, allergies or mobility needs).
• Payment details: if you pay a deposit by PayPal or card, the payment is handled by PayPal. We receive the payment confirmation, amount and payer name, never your full card number. For bank transfers we see the sender name and reference.
• Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp, the contact form or social media.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you reached our site, collected by our server logs and, where enabled, by the analytics and advertising tools listed below.

How we use it

• To check availability, confirm and run your tour, arrange pickup and keep you safe on the day.
• To take deposits, send payment links and issue refunds.
• To answer your questions and send booking updates, such as a change of pickup time or a weather alert.
• To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations in Vietnam.
• To understand how the website is used, measure our advertising and improve our tours, using aggregated data where possible.

We use your information because it is needed to provide the tour you asked for, because the law requires it, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business. We only send marketing messages if you agree, and you can opt out at any time. We never sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share only what each party needs to do its job:

• Our team: guides, riders and drivers receive your name, contact number, pickup point and group details.
• Payment providers: PayPal and our banks, to process deposits and refunds.
• Service providers: our web host, the form and email delivery service that sends booking requests to us (Web3Forms), and the booking platform Bókun when you book through its calendar.
• Analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics and Ads), Microsoft Clarity and Meta, where enabled, to measure visits and ad results.
• Authorities: when Vietnamese law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Cookies and local storage

Our website stores a few small settings in your browser so it remembers your choices, such as your currency, temperature unit and whether the background music is on. Where analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they set cookies to count visits and to measure which ads lead to bookings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works, but some preferences will not be remembered. You can manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Vietnamese accounting and tax law requires. Other messages and enquiries are deleted when we no longer need them to help you. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it for marketing, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. These rights apply under Vietnam's personal data protection rules (Decree 13/2023/ND-CP) and, for travellers from the EU or UK, under the GDPR. Email us with your request, and your booking code if you have one; we reply as quickly as we can and within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Security

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Booking records are available only to staff who need them, behind password-protected accounts. No system is completely secure, so please never send card numbers or passport scans by email or chat.

Niños

Our website is not aimed at children. Information about children joining a tour, such as their age, is provided by the parent or guardian who makes the booking.
