Terms and conditions

About these terms

These terms apply to every tour booked directly with Eco Trip Asia: on this website, by email, WhatsApp or phone. Eco Trip Asia is a trading name of Vietnam Green Travel Co., Ltd, holder of International Tour Operator Licence 01-3022/2025/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT. By sending a booking request or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.

Booking and confirmation

Sending a booking request is free. We check availability and confirm by email or WhatsApp. Your place is guaranteed once we have confirmed the booking and received your deposit. Please check the details in your confirmation (date, pickup point, number of travellers) and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

Prices and payment

• Prices: per person in US dollars, including everything listed under "Included" on the tour page. Items listed as not included are paid separately.
• Deposit: 15% of the total for bookings under $100, 10% for bookings of $100 or more, paid when you book.
• Balance: paid on the tour day in cash (USD or VND) or by bank transfer.
• Children: child rates and free ages are shown on each tour page and in our payment policy.
• A surcharge applies on public holidays (Lunar New Year), payable on site.

Full details: Payment policy.

Date changes, cancellations and refunds

Deposits are non-refundable. You can change your tour date, subject to availability.

What happens in each situation, and how refunds are paid, is set out in our Cancellation policy and Refund policy.

Changes by us

Traffic, weather, festivals, road works or site closures can mean we change the order of stops, the route or a meeting time. Where we can, we replace a stop with something of similar value. If we have to cancel a tour, you choose a new date or a full refund, as described in our refund policy.

Your responsibilities

• Be ready at the pickup or meeting point at the confirmed time. If you are late the tour may be shorter, and a no-show counts as a cancellation.
• Wear the helmet provided and follow your guide's and driver's safety instructions at all times.
• Tell us before the tour about any health condition, pregnancy, injury, mobility need or allergy that could affect you.
• If a tour lets you drive or ride a vehicle yourself, you must hold a licence valid in Vietnam for that vehicle and follow Vietnamese traffic law.
• Your guide may refuse to take a traveller who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who puts others at risk. No refund is due in that case.
• Respect local customs, including dress codes at temples and historic sites, and look after your own belongings.

Health, safety and insurance

Riding a motorbike or jeep in city traffic carries some risk. Our drivers are experienced and our vehicles are maintained and insured as Vietnamese law requires. We strongly recommend personal travel insurance that covers medical costs and activities such as riding as a motorbike passenger.

Our liability

We take reasonable care in running every tour. We are not responsible for loss, injury or delay caused by your own actions or by not following safety instructions, by events outside our control (such as extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes or government orders), or by services you buy separately from other businesses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Vietnamese law.

Photos

Our guides often take photos and videos for you during the tour. We may share some on our website or social media; tell your guide or message us if you would rather we did not use images of you.

Bookings made elsewhere

If you booked through another platform (for example Tripadvisor/Viator, Klook, GetYourGuide or Google), that platform's payment and cancellation terms apply to your booking, and these terms apply to the tour itself.

Using this website

We keep tour information and prices up to date, but mistakes can happen; the details in your booking confirmation are the ones that apply. All text, photos and itineraries on this site belong to Eco Trip Asia and may not be copied without our written permission.

Complaints and governing law

If something is not right, please tell your guide on the day so we can fix it there and then, or contact us as soon as possible afterwards. We always try to resolve a problem directly with you. These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam, and any dispute we cannot settle together is resolved by the competent court in Hanoi.
