We show you the Hanoi we actually live in

Eco Trip Asia started with a simple frustration. Travellers were busy photographing the big sights, but kept missing the city we grew up in: the alleyway vendors, the trains squeezing past front doors, the first egg coffee of the morning.

So we built tours around the Hanoi we love, and chose rides that keep you in the middle of it: open-top vintage jeeps with nothing between you and the street, quiet electric scooters that slip through the lanes, and our own female riders in ao dai. The point was never to tick off landmarks. It is to let you feel the city, with locals who call it home.

In Sapa our local guides lead jeep and motorbike tours through the rice terraces and villages of the Muong Hoa Valley and over the O Quy Ho Pass.
