This tour was very informative and engaging. The tour was presented in perfect English by our guide, John who was able to answer all our questions. The timing on train street was perfect. If time in Hanoi is short this is a great way to see lots of the attractions in a short space of time.

We did the morning Jeep tour through Hanoi backstreets and Banana Island with Eco Trip Asia. Outstanding service! Our driver was skilled and navigating Hanoi traffic was actually a breeze. The coffee stop at the railway track was unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time exploring Hanoi with our tour guide, Jinny. She was friendly, helpful, and made the whole trip enjoyable. She helped us take nice photos at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, brought us to enjoy a delicious Bun Cha lunch, and made sure we caught the train at Train Street. Banana Island was one of our favorite stops. My mom got to relive old memories, the fruits were fresh, juicy, sweet, and delicious, the tea was great, and we had lots of fun feeding the geese. There’s just too much to say about this tour—you’ll have to experience it for yourself! Thank you, Jinny, for making our Hanoi trip so memorable. Highly recommended!

A wonderful way to experience the local side of Hanoi! 🇻🇳✨ We started at Train Street and then explored a completely different, more local side of Hanoi. We visited local areas and a banana farm, got to taste local wine, and learned more about the everyday life and culture of Hanoi. We also got to watch the beautiful sunset and click lots of pictures along the way. 📸🌅 Mr. Hieu was so kind and patient and made sure we got plenty of great photos. It was such a fun and memorable part of the experience! We ended the tour with delicious Vietnamese coffee, and the best surprise was receiving printed photos from the tour at the end. Such a thoughtful gesture and a lovely memory to take home. 🤍 Overall, it was a fun, comfortable, and memorable experience. Thank you, Mr. Hieu, for making the tour so enjoyable and for showing us a different side of Hanoi! Highly recommended if you want to explore beyond the usual tourist spots.

Full description
This is the tour that made us known: four and a half hours across Hanoi in an open-top vintage army Jeep, combining the big landmarks with places most visitors never find. Your guide is a Hanoi local and your driver knows every shortcut, so you can simply sit back, ask questions and stop for photos.
Start in the Old Quarter and on Hanoi Train Street, continue through the French Quarter and Ba Dinh, then cross the Red River to Banana Island to meet farmers and taste fresh fruit with green tea. Back in the city you visit West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the B-52 relic before finishing with egg coffee, lotus tea and Bun Cha — the grilled pork and noodle dish Hanoi is famous for. Morning, afternoon and sunset departures include lunch or dinner.

Frequently asked questions
Are food and drinks included?
Yes — the food and drinks listed in the itinerary are included. Vegetarian and vegan options are available; just tell us about any dietary needs when you book.
Can we see Hanoi Train Street?
Yes. Train Street is part of the route and your guide follows the local rules. If you are lucky with the timetable, you will see a train pass.
Do we go inside the attractions?
We focus on hidden corners and local life, so we pass several landmarks with photo stops rather than going inside. You can always return later on your own.

On the group tour you may share the experience with a few other travellers. The private tour is just for your party, with your own guide and vehicle, and the timing can be adapted to you.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run in rain or shine. We provide rain ponchos, and your guide may adjust the order of stops to keep you comfortable. If we have to cancel because the weather makes the tour unsafe, you can move it to another date free of charge or choose a full refund. If the tour goes ahead and you decide not to join, the deposit is not refundable, but you can still change your date.
Can I change my date or cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable, but you can move your tour to another date, subject to availability.
Do I have to pay now?
Send a booking request for free. A small deposit secures your spot; the rest is paid on the tour day in cash (USD or VND) or by bank transfer.
How much do children pay?
Children aged 5–8 pay 75% of the adult price; under 5 join free.
