01About these terms
These terms apply to every tour booked directly with Eco Trip Asia: on this website, by email, WhatsApp or phone. Eco Trip Asia is a trading name of Vietnam Green Travel Co., Ltd (Công ty TNHH Du lịch Xanh Bền vững Việt), enterprise code 0111220787, holder of International Tour Operator Licence 01-3022/2025/CDLQGVN-GP LHQT.
Before sending a booking request on the website you tick a box to confirm that you have read and agree to these terms, our Cancellation & refund policy and our Privacy policy. Paying a deposit also means you accept them.
02How booking works
- 1Choose your tour
Pick the tour, group or private option, date, starting time and number of travellers. The total, the deposit and the balance due on the day are shown before you send anything.
- 2Send a free request
Enter your name, WhatsApp or phone, email and pickup point, tick the agreement box and send. You receive a booking reference starting with ETA-.
- 3We confirm
We check availability and confirm by WhatsApp or email, usually within the hour.
- 4Pay the deposit
Pay online by PayPal or card, straight away or later with the payment link we send you.
- 5Enjoy your tour
We send your pickup time or meeting point. You pay the balance on the tour day.
03Prices and payment
- Prices are per person in US dollars, include VAT and everything listed under "Included" on the tour page. Items listed as not included (extra drinks, personal expenses, optional tips) are paid separately.
- Deposit: 15% of the total for bookings under $100, 10% for bookings of $100 or more. A 4% fee applies when the deposit is paid by PayPal or card.
- Balance: paid on the tour day in cash (USD or VND) or by bank transfer.
- Children aged 5–8 pay 75% of the adult price; children under 5 join free.
- Public holidays: a surcharge may apply on holidays such as Lunar New Year. The amount varies with the date and demand; we tell you the exact amount before we confirm your booking, and it is paid on site.

04Date changes, cancellations and refunds
You can change your tour date free of charge, subject to availability. If you cancel, the deposit is not refunded; nothing more is charged because the balance is only paid on the day. If we cancel, you choose a new date or a 100% refund. All situations and how refunds are paid are set out in our Cancellation policy and Refund policy.
05Changes by us
Traffic, weather, festivals, road works or site closures can mean we change the order of stops, the route or a meeting time. Where we can, we replace a stop with something of similar value. Hanoi Train Street is visited only where and when it is allowed.
06Your responsibilities
- Be ready at the pickup or meeting point at the confirmed time. If you are late the tour may be shorter; a no-show counts as a cancellation.
- Wear the helmet provided and follow your guide's and driver's safety instructions at all times.
- Tell us before the tour about any health condition, pregnancy, injury, mobility need or allergy that could affect you.
- On self-drive tours (e-bike, ATV) you must hold a licence valid in Vietnam for that vehicle where the law requires one, follow Vietnamese traffic law and join the safety briefing.
- Your guide may refuse to take a traveller who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who puts others at risk. No refund is due in that case.
- Respect local customs, including dress codes at temples and historic sites, and look after your own belongings.
07Health, safety and insurance
Riding a motorbike or jeep in city traffic carries some risk. Our drivers are experienced, our vehicles are maintained and insured as Vietnamese law requires, and the price includes insurance during the tour. We strongly recommend personal travel insurance that covers medical costs and activities such as riding as a motorbike passenger.
08Our liability
We take reasonable care in running every tour. We are not responsible for loss, injury or delay caused by your own actions or by not following safety instructions, by events outside our control (such as extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics, strikes or government orders), or by services you buy separately from other businesses. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Vietnamese law.
09Photos
Our guides often take photos and videos for you during the tour. We may share some on our website or social media; tell your guide or message us if you would rather we did not use images of you.
10Bookings made elsewhere
If you booked through another platform (for example Tripadvisor/Viator, Klook, GetYourGuide or Google), that platform's payment and cancellation terms apply to your booking, and these terms apply to the tour itself.
11Using this website
We keep tour information and prices up to date, but mistakes can happen; the details in your booking confirmation are the ones that apply. If a price is shown wrongly because of a technical error, we tell you before confirming and you may decide not to go ahead at no cost. All text, photos and itineraries on this site belong to Eco Trip Asia and may not be copied without our written permission.
12Complaints and governing law
If something is not right, please tell your guide on the day so we can fix it there and then, or contact us as soon as possible afterwards. How we handle complaints and how long it takes is set out in our Complaints policy. These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam, and any dispute we cannot settle together is resolved by the competent court in Hanoi.
